The presentations of this section was used by Maria-Eleni Chovalopoulou for lecturing the undergraduate course "Paleoanthropology" at the Department of History and Ethnology of the Democritus University of Thrace during the spring semester of the academic year 2019-2020. It includes 17 modules in total, each based on the respective chapter of the book "Introduction to Physical Anthropology" by Robert Jurmain, Lynn Kilgore, Wenda Trevathan, and Russell L. Ciochon (2013-2014 Edition). This book, which addresses the human origins and the scientific methods used to trace the evolution of humans, is considered one of the most complete and well-written scientific books in the field of Physical Anthropology.
The following lecture notes were created for the wider dissemination of the discipline of physical anthropology as part of the research project "Human Jigsaw", which was funded by the European Union. [H2020-MSCA-WF-2018, 867438-Human Zigsaw]
